TESTIMONIALS & REVIEWS

VWGC sang at my wedding and were a dream come true. Having a gospel choir to add to the service was the only thing we knew we wanted from the very beginning of planning. We instantly felt confident they could realise our dream. To us the service was the most important part of the day and they provided the magic that made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. I'd been listening to Ave Maria in the car in the run up to the big day so that I could get used to hearing it without bursting into tears! When they sang Higher and Higher for our recessional, everyone stood up and started clapping along. It was a very happy and lovely day thanks to Vocal Works Gospel Choir.

I wanted to say how wonderful your choir was during the ceremony. The lady who sang Kissing You for the bride's arrival had the most amazing voice (as did the others of course). Of all the ceremonies I've seen at Leigh Court over the last 4 years it was by far the most memorable one down to the beautiful music. If anyone asks us to recommend a choir for their wedding ceremony I'd be pleased to tell them about you!

Perfect performance from gospel choir....
Vocal Works Gospel Choir Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford on Avon From soul to rock, Motown to Handel, almost every conceivable kind of music was given the gospel choir treatment by the Bath-based Vocal Works choir, when it visited the Wiltshire Music Centre.
Full of the kind of bubbling energy you would expect from a gospel choir, the 47-strong outfit tirelessly danced their way through the evening while belting out the songs under the leadership of musical director Tim King.
True to the democratic gospel tradition, there were no stars of the show - with most of the choir members getting a turn in the spotlight to take the lead.
The classic Amazing Grace was performed with extraordinary clarity, raising cheers from the usually reserved Wiltshire Music Centre audience - and a solo performance of Music of Heaven in the second half of the show even provoked a spontaneous standing ovation.
But the highlight of the evening for me was a note-perfect rendition of Leonard Cohen's classic Hallelujah - with its swelling climax, it's a song that lends itself brilliantly to gospel reinterpretation. 10/10

I've never seen so many people sing with such permanently happy enthusiasm.
Apart from being exceptionally joyful, there seemed to be no end to the number of soloists who stepped into the limelight throughout the evening. Little wonder they produced such great music with that much talent to rely on.
Cheered back for two encores, which the equally enthusiastic audience would have preferred to be even more, the VWGC closed with the old Jimmy Cliff song, Higher and Higher. Very appropriate, as this choir are certainly up there in popularity and ability.

Just a note to say a huge thank you for making the service extra special. We had lots of feedback from our guests who thought you were all amazing.

Thank you so much for providing such great music at our ceremony in Orchardleigh. The choir was amazing! It was everything we imagined and more and made our day so special. All our guests comments were complimentary of you and the talk of the day.

Thank you to you and the rest of the choir, you were all absolutely brilliant, sounded amazing and made our day even more special. My boss attended my wedding and thought you were all so good she will book you for the launch of the new weekly newspaper. I have many friends that now want to get married just so that they can listen to the choir again!

Thank you so very much for performing at our wedding on Saturday - it surpassed all expectations (which were already high!!!).  Your contribution to our wedding was just fantastic and definately one of the highlights.  Thank you (and your choir) so much for helping to make the day utterly exceptional!!

Awesome! It was also good to see and hear enthusiastic men with great sounding voices. Your voices blended so beautifully in what is an acoustically challenging building. You also all looked so bright and enthusiastic. It is clear that one of the strengths of your choir is the breadth of experience and professionalism. I heard lots of positive comments afterwards - both about the whole choir and the soloists. The pianist seems to get taken for granted, but you were great too!
